THE PROJECT
DUMONT
The Dumont Project is one of the largest undeveloped nickel sulfide deposits in the world, fully permitted and ready to launch. Located 25 km west of Amos, in the municipalities of Launay and Trécesson, this large-scale project is set to become a cornerstone of sustainable nickel production. Dumont Nickel is a Quebec-based critical minerals company focused on the extraction of nickel and cobalt needed for battery production for electric vehicles and, more broadly, the energy transition.
A world-class resource
With a mineral reserve of over one billion tonnes at a grade of 0.27% nickel and 107 ppm cobalt, the Dumont Project plans to produce annually 42,000 tonnes of nickel concentrate for over 30 years. This production will support the manufacturing of approximately 840,000 electric vehicles per year, positioning Dumont Nickel as a key player in Quebec’s battery sector.

A COMMITMENT TO
COMMUNITY
The Dumont Project emphasizes a continued commitment to its host communities, including an agreement on impacts and benefits with the Abitibiwinni First Nation.
With all environmental permits and approval from the Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement (BAPE), the project is committed to operating in a responsible and sustainable manner.

A RESPECTFUL APPROACH TO
THE ENVIRONMENT
Environmental responsibility is at the heart of the Dumont project. By leveraging Quebec’s hydroelectric infrastructure and rail network, the project minimizes its environmental footprint. In addition, the tailings have a unique ability to naturally sequester carbon, further reducing the project’s carbon footprint. Ultimately, the Dumont project will be one of the lowest carbon footprint nickel operations in the world.
